Banderas Bay Hover Tours provides unique sightseeing tours on the Ameca River in Puerto Vallarta Mexico where you learn about the local ecology, interact with the local fishing community, and experience the thrill of hovering. Gliding on air over water, beaches, sandbars and mudflats, we see an amazing array of wildlife from crocodiles and iguanas to spectacular flocks of sea birds. It's an experience like none other!
What makes us different? We don't travel on the water, we float above it on a cushion of air. Our hovercraft are unique vehicles that bring the freedom of flying down to earth. Part boat and part flying machine, our environmentally-friendly hovercraft ride on a 9-inch air cushion, gliding safely over the surface leaving no tracks and causing no damage to the environment. These amazing craft can even negotiate swamp, ice and snow!
Our tour begins with a briefing on the beach, where guests learn about the area and some of it's inhabitants.
Next comes the safety briefing...
Then it's time to head up the river... Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. We don't need water, either!
We learn how the locals make their living from the river...
And learn some new skills...
